As with all other VCE Maths courses, you need to get an S for each unit based on meeting the Outcomes and meeting the attendance requirements.

Outcomes

  • Outcome 1: Explain key terms and concepts. Apply mathematical procedures to a range of routine problems.
  • Outcome 2: Apply mathematical processes in non-routine contexts. Analyse and discuss these applications.
  • Outcome 3: Use technology to develop ideas, produce results and carry out analysis.

Attendance Requirements

  • You must attend a minimum of 90% of classes.
  • Absences due to school activities and those covered by medical certificates are not included in this.

Sacs are worth 34% of your Maths Methods mark

  • Unit 3 Application Task (50% of SAC score) related to functions and differential calculus
  • Unit 4 Modelling Task 1 (25% of SAC score) related to functions and calculus
  • Unit 4 Modelling Task 2 (25% of SAC score) related to probability and statistics.

The school assessment of your SAC results will be modified by VCAA
